I just wanna check I'm writing these out properly. If writing the chord derived from each minor scale, would this be the correct way of doing it?

Aeolian (Natural)
i iidim bIII iv v bVI bVII

Harmonic
i iidim bIIIaug iv V bVI viidim

Melodic (uh, the jazz melodic, with ascending version used for descending too)
i ii bIIIaug IV V vidim viidim

Dorian
i ii bIII IV v vidim bVII

Phrygian (the natural mode, not the jazz one - incidently, does the natural phrygian mode get used in jazz at all?)
i bII bIII iv vdim bVI bvii

Phrygian dominant (mode from the 5th degree of the harmonic minor)
I bII iiidim iv v bVI bvii

I'm pretty sure I have this right, just double checking. Thanks.

Easy enough to check, Scrybe... just show your work :)

I'll do them in C-related scales to avoid too many sharps/flats.

A Aeolian: A-B-C-D-E-F-G
i = A-C-E
iiº = B-D-F
bIII = C-E-G
iv = D-F-A
v = E-G-B
bVI = F-A-C
bVII = G-B-D

A harmonic: A-B-C-D-E-F-G#
i = A-C-E
iiº = B-D-F
bIII+ = C-E-G#
iv = D-F-A
V = E-G#-B
bVI = F-A-C
viiº = G#-B-D

A melodic ascending: A-B-C-D-E-F#-G#
i = A-C-E
ii = B-D-F#
bIII+ = C-E-G#
IV = D-F#-A
V = E-G#-B
viº = F#-A-C
viiº = G#-B-D

D Dorian: D-E-F-G-A-B-C
i = D-F-A
ii = E-G-B
bIII = F-A-C
IV = G-B-D
v = A-C-E
viº = B-D-F
bVII = C-E-G

E Phrygian: E-F-G-A-B-C-D
i = E-G-B
bII = F-A-C
bIII = G-B-D
iv = A-C-E
vº - B-D-F
bVI = C-E-G
bvii = D-F-A

E Phrygian dominant: E-F-G#-A-B-C-D
I = E-G#-B
bII = F-A-C
iiiº = G#-B-D
iv = A-C-E
vº = B-D-F (uh oh... Scrybe gets points off here)
bVI+ = C-E-G# (and here)
bvii = B-D-F

40 of a possible 42... you get 95% :)

lmaooo, heh, I only came across this scale today. Still not entirely sure how/when to use it, but will add it to the "practice it and find out" pile. In my defence, I can only say that I swiped the numerals for that one outta the book I found it in. :shock:

Be warned, upon my return from the state, I'll no doubt have a Q or two about the phrygian dominant and its assorted uses. Hopefully my back order of goats and other farmstock will have arrived by then...
