Say theres a song I like, and theres a part that goes like maybe "So many things" and you like that and fit it into your own song, is that copy right problems. I don't think it is, unless words that come after it then it could.

And while i'm asking questions. What if your song has a similar beat to some one elses (I'm not saying stealing) but kinda if it ends that way, or you put 2 chords that make a similar song, can you copy right that stuff?

Let me know if i'm confusing lol.

There is no 'lower limit' to what makes a copyright violation. The standard is pretty simple: if a jury finds you've violated copyright, yo9u copied too much.

There's no way to say that two words or three notes or whatever is ok - it's whatever makes the song identifyable. You can tell it's Beethoven's Symphony No.5 playing when you hear the first four notes...

But it's ok to copy rhythms and chord progressions. They aren't covered by copyright.
