Hello everyone. Can anyone help?

I am trying to arrange No Holly for Miss Quinn by Enya for playing on fingerstyle guitar.

I have the piano sheet music and managed to get most of it done and sounding pretty nice, but I am having trouble with the 2nd section. I can't figure out how to get it right...

(A zip file of a Guitar Pro 5 file, PDF of piano sheet and midi file here: http://www.box.net/shared/kpnz3tg5de )

First section... sounds okay to me...

--------------------------|--1-----------3-----------|--------------------------|

Then, this section...
I think I transcribed the notes okay, but to me, it just doesn't seem playable, or at least without some major finger stretching and chord change speed. Perhaps it is just my skill level?

And, then basically a repeat of the first section.

I'm not familiar with that song so can't really play through it. Judging by your tab the stretches are not that tough, it's just the fast changes and developing the muscle memory. I've seen much worse stretches in classical guitar pieces.

Nice site by the way, I subscribed to your RSS.

PS: you could post this in the main guitar players' forum, this forum is mainly read by lyricists.

I don't know how comfortable you feel with barring at some places, but you can make the stretches easier by finding optional locations for the notes, particularly in the first two measures, like this:
C5
E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E
--3-----------6-----------|--------------------------|-----1--3-----1-----------|
--------------------8-----|--4-----4-----4-----------|--4--------4--------------|
--------5-----------------|--------------------3-----|--------1-----------3-----|
-----5-----5-----8-----8--|--------6--------1-----1--|-----1-----1-----3-----3--|
--3-----------6-----------|-----6-----6--------------|--------------1-----------|
--------------------------|--4-----------3-----------|--4-----------------------|

Hope this helps.

Peace

Thank you very much for your comments.

I recently bought Fingerpinking Enya (Hal Leonard) and they have a nice arrangement of this song. It is on my extensive list of to-do songs to tackle.
