After reading Vic's "In My Head" I thought I'd pull out this song I wrote about 3 years ago...
Never let go of your Pride (unless there's a really good reason. )
The roads the only life I've known
And I've spent some nights alone
But You, You couldn't wait for me
Didn't take you very long
To find someone new when I was gone...Away
Now I'm never coming home
Chorus:
Been ninety days since I last saw you
There were times, I thought I'd never get through
But I broke Your spell and now I'm free
Now it makes no difference to me
Walking down the railroad tracks
Got my pride and my suitcase packed...Away
and I'm never coming home
Now I search from town to town
For a girl to take me down
That road I thought I'd walk with you
Chorus:
Been ninety days since I last saw you
There were times, I thought I'd never get through
But I broke Your spell and now I'm free
Now it makes no difference to me

Don't you ever give up on yourself
Looks good to me, but give us a clue as to genre - rock/country/blues or whatever....I can see this as a fairly up-tempo country/rock song, something along the lines of "Take it Easy".....
Vic.

Tokia, Real good song flows nice and easy to sing. I'd like to know what genre its played in also. Later Nite................

Hey Vin
This seems a little short, but I like the story.

Tokai,
This is really good. Like Vic said, I can see it as a fairly upbeat country number.
give us a clue as to genre - rock/country/blues or whatever....
but part of it's appeal, to me, is that I can also see it as rock, blues, or even bluegrass (w/ 5 part harmonies) . It's really quite a versatile little number.
"Walking down the railroad tracks..."
"Searching town to town..."
I love these images. That kind of nomadic drifter, steppenwolf sorta vibe. Real good.
Thanks,

The more I read this the more I like it. I have a suggestionfor the second verse.Seeing that this guy has a lot of pride.
Didn't take you very long
To find someone new when I was gone..Ill' walk away with
satisfaction that someday you realize it was you who was wrong
Just an idea great song and good luck with it. Nite...................
