Hey ya'll~ Im really into writing poetry and then i add music to it.. I wrote a song about my great grandmas death yesterday.. i need to know what a good tune would be and what should be the chorus..sorry to sound so needy..ok here it is
Memories
I know you can't come back to me
Your gone forever now I see
But the memories will stay so long
They make me feel as though nothing is wrong
I can't believe you went so fast
It was so sad to see you in a casket
I'll always have that image in my head
Of you saying goodbye in your bed
I wish so bad I would have stayed
More memories could have been made
I was so little when you became sick
I don't even remember the real you that I spent so much time
with
I used to stay with you everyday
We'd have so much fun and played and played
Every Sunday I'd run out there
So you could see my dress and pretty hair
You always loved that and said such nice things
After that we'd play cards until the car horn would ring
I remember playing with that doll house
And running around till I was worn out
Sometimes I wish so bad you were still here
So I could whisper so many things in your ear

Those are some very strong lyrics you wrote. I am not sure as to a tune you could put it to, but i enjoyed reading this. Good work.

Great lyrical Conent. I can kind of here a descending bass line arrangment with simple arrpegiated (spelling?) chords something like G F#/D Em or the such. A quiet acoustic song with most of the power coming from the vocals.

ok so like is the bass chords 4,5,and 6th strings...maybe u could do the tab so i can be sure.

lets try it with C to Am..I think it sounds more sombre. something like this

------0------0-----0------0--
-----1------1-----1------1---
----0------0-----2------2----
-------------------------------
--3------2-----0------0------
-------------------------------

then maybe to have a variation use G F#/D Em

------3-------2-----0----0--
-----0-------3-----0----0--
----0-------2-----0----0---
-----------------------------
-----------------------------
--3------2------0----0-----

just an example you can play with this and the order maybe even just pick the bass notes and strum a partial chord. Experiment, play, make mistakes, and learn
