I know it really needs another verse to be complete. I'm working on it.
Mother Nature's Child
Copyright©2004 Martin Hillman
You were marveling at the Eagle's flight
Through the open air
I was marveling at how the sunlight played
Across your flowing hair
And the mountain breeze teased my mind
As the eagle turned to dive
The gentle smile that warmed your face
Made me glad to be alive
Chorus:
And by your side
Mother Nature's child
So glad to be alive and by your side
Mother Nature's child
You tipped your head and laughed aloud
At the waterfall's caress
And I remarked how the flowers matched
The color of your dress
We stood beside the hollow tree
Where the bees made their home and hive
The smell of honey and your sweet kiss
Made me glad to be alive
Chorus:
And by your side
Mother Nature's child
So glad to be alive and by your side
Mother Nature's child

maxwell,
I liked this a lot...a very beautiful set of lyrics you got here. It's pretty cool how you can take a common subject that's written about and make it your own incorperating nature and some great imagery. Really Really great job I wouldn't change a thing (except another verse which you already pointed out..maybe even a bridge if you feel really inspired :D )
Again, nice work!

wow man! there's a hint of vintage romanticism in there. feels goo dto know that ppl like you are keeping that alive. i could visualise the whole thing. everything, frame by frame in my mind. all drenched in soft golden sunlight...
superb work max! i sincerely believe the song is complete. don't need another verse but if you can match up to the other verses then fine. keep writing...
Sachin
It's really good.
Are you still recording?
Best,
A :-)

Great imagery....Great song....
I don't think you need another verse but I would love to see a bridge matched up with it.
Great Job!
