i found out yesterday that nothing was real
it seemed like a lot to take
so i'll spend today waiting for the scars to heal
even though the scars are fake
i hear the song across the universe
it's floating through my head
but the melody's played in reverse
and my eyes are painted red
everyone talks about the news
but noone seems to care
they try so hard to get their message through
but a message is just air

this took me about 6 minutes to write... i didn't have anything in mind when i started... i have practice in 20 minutes so i'll have to try to fit it to music.
i'd really appreciate it if someone would give me an opinion on this. we put some music to it, but it'll probably be changed up a bit.
