Pretty much I've been having trouble writing songs, I feel like I can write riffs and even instrumental songs pretty decently but when it comes to adding a vocal melody and lyrics, i'm absolutely stuck... any tips? Thanks.

take one of your instrumental songs... use one of the melodies already in it as the vocal melody, or hum one over top that fits... play it a 100 times until words come to you. just mumble ideas, yeah yeah yeah, oh baby, no no no, i have anal warts, whatever, until something crystalizes. after a few weeks of doing this with all your songs, it shouldn't be that hard... but most of the easy stuff's already been done.
i don't really know what to tell you. i'm listening to aphex twin's "milkman". the only lyrics are "i wish the milkman would deliver my milk in the morning," and " i would like some milk from the milkman's wife's tits", repeated over and over... and it's a great song. phenomenal.
