OK folks, I've been bouncing this around for a couple weeks, but can't seem to come up with a chorus or third verse. I would appreciate any verbal images you could shoot at me to help me finish this up.
Telephone Line

I tried to call you yesterday
But I guess I lost my nerve
Knew exactly what to say
But I could not find the words
Pulled the phone down from the wall
But I could not make it ring
Deafened by its silence
I guess that's just one of those things
And I wonder now what you would have said
when you heard my shakey voice
A thousand thoughts ring through my head
Which would have been your choice?
And I felt so nervous, so close to you
Just a dial tone away
But a million miles of cold blue wire
won't tell me what you'd say
He not busy being born is busy dying. - Bob Dylan (It's Alright Ma, I'm Only Bleeding)
Hey maxwell
I like this My first impression is that it's about someone calling
for their first date or something along that line. If not let me know.
If so how about something like this for the chorus
Yes or no
Just two simple words
scared of both
but prepared for none
maybe later
after I think this through
I'll try again
to make this call to you
hope this helps
Use it if you like, reword, build off it, or throw it away.
Tokai 12 String
Don't you ever give up on yourself
Tokai,
Great idea on the chorus.
Just a thought for the rhyme in the beginning.
Yes or no
Which will it be
I want you
do you want me
maybe later
after I think this through
I'll try again
to make this call to you
Just a thought to add.
I don't think I'm a lot dumber than you think that I thought I once was - White Goodman (Dodgeball)
