Hi,

With 911 approaching, I offer this song in memory and in tribute.

TRY TO REMEMBER

Try to remember the kind of September
When life was slow and oh, so mellow

but its changed and September's will never be the same
and now the only thing that we can recall
is the horror when the buildings began to fall
and the sky rained down upon us thousands of lives
our fathers, our brothers, our sisters, our wives

Little girls and little boys
how I loved watching them play with their toys
then suddenly one day they grow up to be
spitting images of you and me
but they don't listen to what we say
the only thing they know is that they want their way
and we can't turn our backs so we watch in horror
the mistakes they make for the sake of a dollar

when will they ever learn
that life's not about how much money we earn
it's not about winning and it's not about fame
and it's not about having someone else to blame

we were young once, don't you remember
we made the same mistakes and then came September
and a nightmare unfolded as we looked to the sky
our loved ones were dying and it wasn't enough to cry

Oh, September, the beginning of the fall
the day that reason ended,
and now the only thing now that we can recall
is the horror when the buildings began to fall
and the sky rained down upon us thousands of lives
our fathers, our brothers, our sisters, our wives

Try to remember the kind of September

I commented on this one in SSG when I found it
while checking out your submission there but will
repeat myself here.

This is cool man, sounds like a classic folk song.

"And above all, respond to all questions regarding a given song's tonal orientation in the following manner: Hell, it don't matter just kick it off!"
