Our band is building up our playlist, and we're looking for a few (3-5) originals to play, as none of us are songwriters. Some clubs like to hire bands that play "originals" or as I like to call it "unpublished music". You may recall I made a similar request for blues songs last year, and actually practiced a couple of them before that band broke up.

We're a guitar driven quartet with 3 voices, 2 male and one female. We're looking for up-tempo rockers that people will dance to, or at least tap their feet.

Post a link to a recording (doesn't have to be great quality) and we'll give it a listen.

TIA.
Laz

Hi Laz,

Could you list some "sounds like artists" regarding the style of rock you are looking for?

Also, what kind of themes or messages are you into exploring?

Note that we've had some contributions through direct channels.

We're fairly eclectic classic rockers. Let me go through our current song list:

White Rabbit
Listen to the Music
Radar Love
Honey Hush (blues)
Angel from Montgomery
Take me to the River (Talking Heads version)
Somebody to Love
Jailbreak
Baby Blue
No Matter What
True Love (blues by Benatar)
You May be Right

Does that help?

This has come as quite a shock to me, but "Without Words" always gets them dancing.

I gave them all a listen and they're all quite good. I chose 4 to share with the gang. I'll let you know if we want charts for any of them.

Thanks again!
