Slash could stand outside my door begging me to swap my Kay for his entire collection and give me free lessons 40 hours a week for the rest of my life, and I'd still keep it.

That's hardcore! I would trade my entire collection for Slash's in an instant!

My first guitar was a complete piece of crap. It was a Strat copy called a 'Legend' - somewhat optimistically... I gave it to my (now ex) girlfriend when I left Australia for a few years. She is welcome to it!

I noticed no one has mentioned Ernie Ball Musicman guitars in this thread...again, I've never played one but whenever you talk to someone who bought one they won't shutup about how awesome they are :D

3) Gibson ES-335
4) Fender American Tele
5) Gibson Moderne (one of the original prototype ones - not the 70's or 80's reissue...i want the Holy Grail of guitars)

I see a few of you have picked Rickenbacker's :D I had a black 1970 335( John Lennon model with 2 pups). That was the sweetest ax I have ever owned, I still kick my own ass from time to time for selling it back in 1978 ( I was dumber than a box of rocks  )

All the following would be left-handed:

Fender Strat with soft-V back of neck, Duncan Vintage Stacks, 7-way wiring, probably that Fender system
Fender Tele with soft-V back of neck, Duncan Vintage Stacks
Gibson LP Custom, Heritage Cherry
Gibson SG Standard, Cherry
Guild X-170 Manhattan Archtop

But that's just today :)

Oh I reread the other posts: someone mentioned the Gibson double-neck!

I think everything else would be the same except to take out the SG Standard. Unless someone wants to count the double-neck as two (which is okay with me!), in which case I'd lose the Les Paul too. :)

Tele with maple f-board
Strat -- probably a G&L S500 or Legacy with trem
LP Junior or most likely the Hamer double-cut korina version that is very sweeeet
Something big and hollow, orange, bearing a Bigsby trem and TV Jones pups -- thinking Gretch ...

Hmmmm, and maybe this: Ibanez John Scoffield Artist model

-=tension & release=-
