maybe most of you know this, but there is a website called http://www.patchtronix.com with patches for Vox valvetronix amps. basically, tells you where to turn the knobs to to get certain tones. it's reallllllllllllllllllllllly neat, and they have a cool forum too. and the patches are searchable. check it out!!!
mods, i dunno if this belongs in amps section or not...move as you see fit
Thanks. That's an interesting site. Can't wait to try it tonight as I watch our Phillies lose another game due to poor pitching and a lack of clutch hitting.
P.S. If you like the White Stripes, I've been enjoying using the AC30TB amp, with the gain at about 1 o'clock and touch of reverb for songs like Hardest Button to Button and Fell In Love With A Girl. Gives it a crunch, but you still get a bit of bluesy feel without having the distortion completely take over.
Also, check out http://www.valvetronix.net/ . They let people upload sound clips of the presets and has a very cool flash interface.
And, iraesq, I absolutely love the AC30TB model. My personal sound is very similar to your settings, with plenty of "chime".
Banre,
I really like that setting. I basically use it as my default setting. The great thing about the Valvetronix amp is the great flexibility it gives you. But whenever I'm done experimenting or done playing stuff on other settings, I come back to the setting I described. I also like the UK70s model.
