My 17th B-Day is coming up in a few weeks, and its time to tell the parental unit what I would like. I'm trying to decide what to ask for. My main goal is going to be to try to improve my setup. Currently, that is a Silvertone Paul Stanley Apocolypse Pro (Good guitar, but the whole pointy red and black theme isn't me, and I want to start gigging real soon), a one of a kind Samick Stratocaster (Aftermarket single-coils, expander circuit, plays great, sounds great), a epiphone valve special, a behringer GMX 212, and a yamaha FG700S Acoustic.

Things I'm looking at:

A good acoustic pickup (I don't know what to look for here, so help would be appreciated)
Trading in the Paul Stanley for an Ibanez Artcore (AGuitar Center has one for $300, Tried it out today, liked it more than the Epiphone Dot Studio for the the same price) http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Ibanez-Artcore-AF75-Electric-Guitar?sku=519453
A dunlop original wah (I don't have a wah) http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Ibanez-Artcore-AF75-Electric-Guitar?sku=519453

Anyways, these are some of the things I've come up with. Help on picking out a acoustic pickup would be a big help, as well as recommendations for archtop's at about $300. (Agile's?) Any other ideas for my setup would be great. I'm pretty heavy into the light rock, blues, etc. right now.

Who needs a signature?
I mean really...
It's almost always lyrics...
or a cliche...
or garbage about me...
Lets just save YOU from the pain, ok?

Duffmaster I have an Ibanez AG75, love it! nice mellow tone seems to be bluesy. I believe Arjen has the AF75 and he will likely tune in later with his thoughts.

Acoustic pickup: soundhole or under-the-saddle type?

If soundhole, I'd look at the Fishman "Rare Earth Pro Rep 102" (dumb name!) or the LR Baggs "M1."

The Fishman has a built-in preamp, whereas you'll need to buy one (or at least an active DI box) if you get the Baggs. On the other hand, there's the "M1 Active" which seems a little hard to find, but it's powered like the Fishman Pro Rep.

The advantage of the Baggs models is that, in addition to picking up string vibrations, they also pick up vibrations in the guitar's sound board. Supposedly this makes for a more natural acoustic sound.
