I was wondering what other guitar websites and forums everyone else goes to. I've been on this one for a couple weeks and was wondering if there were any others like it. I'm not trying to say this is bad just looking for other websites that are similar to learn from.

I guarantee you'll not find a better forum than here so don't even look! As for guitar websites I've got so many bookmarked it's not even funny.

I've actually looked through the Outta Site Lesson links but most of it just seems like ads for the same websites over and over, or just ads for other peoples websites. I'm just looking for some other forums and was trying to see what everyone else liked, or if there are other forums sort of like this one that people visit.

imo this is the best guitar related "general" forum in exsistance bar none, however if your interest in a particular specific area is not stroked by the helpful peeps here then i would suggest a specific google search for a "specialty" type forum for more "focused" attention into your particular interest.

Besides GN I also visit a Dutch forum that specialises in badmouthing each other over which gear is good and which isn't. :)

I've participated on the Telecaster Discussion Forum for about 8 years. It's similar to this board in that it's a friendly well moderated hang with extremely knowledgable people. When I first joined I was told "We're so nice other forums make fun of us." It focuses primarily on Telecasters but the sub-forums cover Strats, amps, pedals, pickups, bass and other stuff we all love. Even a "Flying V" player would be welcomed...hehe.

Have you really looked at the outtasite forum? It isn't how you describe it at all.

One of the things that keeps people coming back here though is we encourage respectful conversation and have zero tolerance for flaming or trolling.

There are some nice people over at Kirk's (planetalk's) place:

Here's a link to one of his posts here at GN:

I've also seen some GN members over there.

I go to delcamp.net for Classical Guitar chat, mp3's, sheet music etc and there's a small but well managed flamenco site who's name escapes me but I drop in there occasionally too.

If you're into blues, I'd have to recommend the Big Road Blues forum. http://www.bigroadblues.com

As far as websites go my list of bookmarks is quite long and getting longer by the week. Too many good sites to list here.

As for forums, I occaisionally browse others but GN is the only one I subscribe to. This place seems to be the friendliest and most helpful I've come across. And we manage to stay on topic most of the time.

I haven't come across the guitarbeginners.com site/forum before. Not sure how I've missed that one. I'll check it out. Thanks Dan.
