fx for funk style

if your FX has a wah pedal that woiuld be excellent.

the funk I listen to is early James Brown. full of poly rythyms, a tight beat, a tight economic guitar playing clean and bright.

the later stuff , like Parliment and George Clinton has raging fuzz tones, flangers, and wah.

as for an amp setting : clean tube?

I think funk would be one of those genres that would lend itself well to SS amps, as 'tube warmth' is not something I'd associate with funk.

Jimmy Nolen used a Fender Twin Reverb. Can't get funkier than him. He also used compression, wah, and phase.

hello...Arjen..as a v-amp2 addicted :P what would you suggest me....which amp n cabinet that match for playing funk...? thx u..please some advice..thx u again
