Nope, it don't help your playing. Been there , done that, lost the T-shirt :wink: ...And most major bands ( Beatles, Stones , etc.) were not stoned when they recorded their masterpieces :D
Just FYI, for those of you who wonder why this post is still here, well it was remotely connected to guitar playing and all of the responses have been that playing guitar in an altered state may make you think you sound good, but that's it. Performance is negatively impacted.
I think that's a pretty good warning against the use of illegal substances in an effort to improve your playing.
If anyone's truly against a reasonable discussion, I'll lock it down.
