One of the things that makes me think this may be a project guitar is look at the loacation of the strap button by the neck. Have any of you seen a manufacturer put it on the underside of the horn like that? I know I haven't

Immature? Of course I'm immature Einstein, I'm 50 and in a Rock and ROll band.

I've heard two stories about memphis. one, the one I tend to believe, is that Kaman music made them back in the 80's and that they make very good les paul copies (haven't read so much about the strats.) The other story I've heard is that Yamaha was making copies of strats and LP's back in the 80's and got the hell sued out of them, so they stopped production, tagged them with the memphis name and unloaded the stock they had left. This link http://www.vintaxe.com/catalogs_japanese_memphis.htm suggest that they are infact japanese in origin. Unfortunately I can't view the catalogs because you need to have a membership to do that =/.

I've seen mixed reviews about this guitar
http://www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/Data4/Memphis/Strat_Copy_With_a_Humbucker-1.html That being said, I usually don't trust HC reviews as most of them look fake and either give absurdly low ratings or absurdly high ratings based on the variables pesented to the person who actually bought the guitar (skill, knowledge, luck, etc.)

Guitarin' isn't a job, so don't make it one.

Wow, don't we all wish that we had a guitar that's worth nothing to screw around with...I know that I do...
