Lookin4 advice from veterans- Soloing

great advices from the masters here... they are good tools in preparing solos...

for me im doing my solos by
1. identifying chords prog
2. identifying its genre
3. identifying its mood
4. internalizing the song (its groove)
5. putting feelings, phrasing, intervals

Here is B B King, you can hear him hitting target notes, they are the "pretty" notes. You could hear the progression even if nobody else was playing with him.
