Yeah, Music123's all right. I ordered my first guitar from them in 2001, a Washburn D11. Instead of the Transparent Red I'd ordered, I got an Antique Natural, which was a beauty and really sounded good. I was tempted to keep it, but I was worried about the top being bellied up a bit below the bridge. Took a few E-mails and calls to get everything straightened out, but they took it back and sent me out a red one, which I still have. A great playing and sounding dreadnought, that.

The only proble I had with Music123 is that they have been changing warehouses and computer systems and they have had NOTHING but problems...even the supervisor I spoke to on the phone told me that they were losing customers and they they HAVE NOT been doing their best...

I just suggested people be cautious of them for a while until they get it all straightened out..

As for MF they screwed up the SAME order twice on me...I may buy from them again ONLY because they have some of the cheapest prices...

From MF and music 123, they basically have the same prices as eveyrone does the "lowest price matching" so price is not a problem. If I needed to buy somehting I would get it from music123 becuase if you check out their site, they have a much bigger selection than MF. I browsed around their custom shop, and they have some pretty sweet stuff.

i have had both good and bad experiances at MF.

as some of you may remember i have the luxury of living near the KC retail/warehouse/ditribution center.

if you don't mind rummaging around a bunch of returned junk then it's a great way to spend a weekend morning searching for a neck or body or some misc electronic gizmo that someone returned because it had a run in the paint or a scratch.

I live near the KC warehouse as well, and another advantage is that almost everything I order arrives in a day or two without having to shell out extra for express shipping...

As for me, I never have time to go to a local music store, though if I were to buy anything major, I'd probably make the time. And the one close to my house moved, another has closed.
