Hey, I've been interested in learning this song for a while. Does anyone know of a decent guitar arrangment of the piano parts? Maybe some of you jazz players?
As a New Yorker, I feel it is my duty to learn it! Kidding, but I've loved this song since I was 10 years old.
Thanks much,
Taso
PS
IS G9Sus

And whats E7#9
And while we're at it:
A good way of playing Cmaj9 and Eb6
Thanks much everyone.
Bumping this one up , I guess this is a very specific question, and unless you know the song you can't really help me (except with those chords) so I'm going to just give it two more tries, and see if anyone can give me a hand.
Sorry, never saw it the first time.
I would play a G9sus like this [x 10 12 12 10 10], your version is a G9#.
C9 [x 3 2 3 3 x]
Bb6 [x 1 3 3 3 3]
Awesome. Thanks Arjen, appreciate it. Yeah, thats why I bumped it up, it went down pretty fast.
Anyone know the song? I thought it might be up Noteboat's alley, but now I'm thinking its probably only popular here in NY.
probably not much help, but i'll throw this out anyways...

Thanks for replying waltaja. Actually, that IS the tab I've been going from, but its missing a lot, and it isn't very accurate. I was hoping for a more professional arrangement, something that would sound closer to Billy Joel's work, without the piano of course.
I appreciate the effort though, thanks.

i did a bunch of hunting around myself, and that was the closest i could come. i've never heard the song myself. sorry. hope you can get it figured out

It's a great song, and I love to sing along with it, which is one reason I'd want to learn to play it on Guitar (or Piano, but no chance of that really) Billy joel is my favorite, you should check out the song.
Have you seen this one?
I found it here. I figured I would post the url just in case you like it (I know I'll forget it if I don't). There are a lot more there.
Hope that helps............
Edit.....I just checked the other tab...... They look like the same tab!!!!!!!
Sorry :?
Just goes to show.... a lot of tabber's use other peoples tabs. I see that a lot!!!! Same tab, different site, different person. :?
No worries. Effort was appreciated Tracker. Hmm. When I start lessons again, I'll have to ask my guitar teacher to try and help.
