Hello brothers,

I bought my first electric guitar ories sh285, but it's not a many people-used guitar, so I found difficult to get some details about it(it's made in Korea and design by Japanese,I can only read Chinese and English),I'll very appriciate for anyone could give me some information about it.

Also, I only have one amp which is Laney HCM30 without any effects, as I have very very very poor skill, can you tell me if just want buy one effect recently for my practice, which one is good for me,Phase 90 and EH small clone is what I prefer, are they good choice for me?

Thank you all.

Hope you are happy in heaven forever, my dear friend.

I dont know anything about your guitar. it must be specific for your area of the world.

effects pedals are nice to have.
the kind of music you want to play will help you decide which pedal.

Harmony Central has good reviews and explanations of pedals.

to start an overdrive pedal would be good.
chorus, Phase delay are good to have too.

what music speaks to you?
what music moves your feet?

there is so much to listen to from all over the world.

maybe you want to make your own music.

learning an instrument is exciting. not only will it give you a creative outlet it will open your ears to music styles throughout history.
it is a rich history too.

start simple. a guitar, amp, picks, and an overdrive pedal is all you need to start.

learn the names of the strings. learn the chords and the different ways to make them.
then listen to the melody in your head and try to make it come out of your guitar.

tht should keep you busy for a while.
best wishes in the year of the Dog.

richilo , is it this guitar : http://shop.guitarchina.com/product_info.php?products_id=1171&osCsid=fcc8b6b40b1cd51db38629a24a4bca02

Looks like a simplified copy of a Gibson Les Paul.

Quote from http://www.laney.co.uk/site.htm ; "The HCM30 features two channels with global three band EQ, Max button, CD line input, footswitch socket, external speaker socket and Headphone socket."
It should be good for electric guitar practice with the overdrive/distorsion/crunch channel.

The MXR Phase 90 http://www.jimdunlop.com/products/electronics/mxr/products/m101.html is a typical phaser foot switch.
The Marshall EH-1 echohead http://www.marshallamps.com/product.asp?productCode=EH-1 is an echo/delay footswitch.

Tanglewood TW28STE (Shadow P7 EQ) acoustic
Yamaha RGX 320FZ electric guitar/Egnater Tweaker 15 amp.
Yamaha RBX 270 bass/Laney DB 150 amp.

Well I dont know how the guitar plays but it looks sweet. As for pedals the only effect that you need is some sort of overdrive others are just toys...very very fun toys. But untill you learn play its not worth spending the money on pedals.

to Dogbite:

Yes, you know I'm only a newbee on rock music and guitar, but my favorite player is Vinnie Moore,Steve Vai and Van Halen, the speed of Vinnie is crazy but still very clear, Vai is genius,Van Halen let me feel strong, also as I know, Jimi Hendrix and SRV is great, but in my place is difficult to get their CD,only can download little clips of them. During these 2 months, I began to listen dozens of CD's from famous America and Europe bands and players, above bands and players is whom I think they giving me shock.

I agree which you said that play a musical instrument is exciting, but in China, I have to play them in daytime otherwise my neighbours will complain about the sound volumn, haha.

to Rahul:

Yes, I have a Chinese friend who play good guitar and love rock, he work in US now, he recommend this site to me,I feel well in this site, thank you for all persons contribute.

to Kalle in Sweden:

Yes, all you said is which these things manufacture and dealer, you from Sweden?I also very like table tennis and love J.O.Waldner!He is an unbelivable genius.

to thectrain:

Thank you for your advice, the dealer link guitar on a line6 50W amp and play it for me when I go to buy it, sound really well, the sound is like Ibanez RG370,a typical Japanese guitar sound, not like Fender or Gibson sound, but I found the size is little small to me when back home.I want to buy Fender 013-4600 made in Mexico first, but very difficult to purchase in Shanghai, I wait 5 weeks already and the dealer told me to wait one more week, finnally I have to change my choice, haha.

Hope you are happy in heaven forever, my dear friend.
