I have a seagull S6 Folk. I was in a guitar shop yesterday and had the opportunity to play one or two other guitars.
Amongst them was a €875 Martin. Allowing for the difference in acoustics, etc., I would say that the Martin played ever so slightly better than my seagull (it may be that the Martin has 11's whilst I have 12's), but did not sound as good as my seagull nor as loud.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.

One of my friends has S6, and maybe its his ability, but to me it sounds as good my other friends much higher end guitars.

I'ver had an M6 gloss for almost two years now....for the price...the best guitar going in my opinion.
Greybeard, does your S6 Folk have a pickguard? Mine doesn't and it's starting to get pretty scratched up. Is it possible to add a pickguard to one of these? Does it matter? (I don't mind the cosmetic damage, I just don't want to damage the acoustics)
