Does anyone know any rock songs that are in the Key of C? Preferrably something that I could practice soloing over.
Thanks

Maxo: Because I'm a beginner who has just started taking lessons and we've only been working in C so far. I realize that I can easily move to a different key but I'm trying to stick to my teacher's plan.

transpose the song you want to play into C

I appreciate everyone's help but I think I may have confused everyone with my question. I'm looking for songs in C that I can play along with almost like a backing track. I want to be able to improvise over the recording so transposing the keys doesn't help.

Thanks again.

"Down on the Corner" by Creedence Clearwater Revival is a nice easy one ...just C F and G, and a couple of nice riffs to work with as well.....and if I'm not mistaken, Lennon's "Imagine" is in C as well....

By the way, you could always play along to songs in the key of D, E F etc by putting a capo on at the 2nd, 4th 5th fret etc....since the capo is basically a sliding nut, scales are relative to the capo....

:D :D :D
