clean them with rubbing alcohol and wipe them down everytime you're done playing.
Guitarin' isn't a job, so don't make it one.
another thing, make sure your hands are clean before you play, i am a mechanic by trade, and i would come home and go straight for my guitar, and wonder why i sounded dull, imagine that :?
even god loves rock-n-roll
guys i pretty sure the strings are clean ru sure thats what it is

I'm thinkin they lost that real new bright sound new strings have and are settled in to the warmer tones of slightly worn strings.
Possibility that for 4-5 hours a day for 2 weeks. A set of .09s could be wearing out, depending on the style of music you play and how much of a manly brute you are.

I used Earnie ball 0.09's for years but changed them every 2-3 weeks (my sweats like sulphuric acid!)and I play alot.I recently changed to GHS Infinity Stainless steel and they sound amazing and keep that just bought sound for weeks not days. They cost a little more but long term you get your money back.
hope this helps.

I've given up on the EBs as well.

Me to. They seemed to wear out pretty quick for me.
strings wont sound good after that amount of time.
when gigging; playing 20 plus hours a week; I changed my 10's every five days.
change your strings more often with your playing schedule or live with the sound.
