Hi all,
I am working on Tears In Heaven, it's coming along slowly but surely.
Just one question: what is the best way to play this riff:

e--5/7-5--------------
B--------5/7-5-----5--
G--------------4/6----
D---------------------
A---------------------
E---------------------

The best I can do is just to use one finger (index) - this is talking about the fretting hand. I tried it with multiple fingers but it didn't get any easier. I was wondering if anyone has a good way of doing it. I suppose the accuracy will come with time.

[edit: oops, labelled the strings backwards, fixed now]

OK:

ring finger slide from high E 5 --> 7, then index finger on high E 5
Same for next group on B string

Ring finger slide from 4 --> 6 on G string, then either 2nd finger on B 5 or play open high E.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

getting the ring finger over on the third sting is a little awkward. it's easier with the middle, then putting the index on the 2nd string e, or i guess the open e, although it'll sound a little different.
