Thanks for your help, oh and *bump*

I was looking at these too:

http://www.music123.com/Fender-Jaguar-HH-Electric-Guitar-i155031.music

Along with an Explorer, but we discussed that guitar in another thread many moons ago.

Don't overlook the PRS Santana SE. I have it in silver. It's a fabulous guitar within your price range. A lot of metal players use PRS.

OWA, what do you think of this? Sort of in the same boat style-wise, but it seems to get consistent positive reviews (and lots of 'em!):

The Ibanez necks are great, in my opinion.
An Iceman is high on my list of things that I must own one day, I love 'em. There a story about Paul Stanley's custom mirrorball version here - that really looks good too, but in a completely different way :)

I don't like Les Pauls or SG's or Strats either. More so Les Pauls, the necks feel funny, they slide off my lap and they are boring to look at. And this could've been the model I was trying, Epiphone Les Paul Standard, but the distortion sucked. Though ESP Eclipses are kinda nice. They come with EMG's.

Pearl do you have a link? I can't find PRS anywhere.

Fair enough, though I disagree it is your choice here ;)

That's why it is really nice to play a guitar. I bought a PRS SE a couple of years ago at my local Sam Ash. I thought I liked it, but I was back a few days later and they had a Gibson Faded V (when they were still authorized to sell Gibby), Well IMO, The Gibson V blows away the PRS SE line. The PRS seemed more stiff and slow playing. So, they let me trade.

It is a small world for metal fanatics. I welcome you fellow musicians, especially the metalheads!

You could look for an 80's Ibanez Artist - lovely guitar.
e.g.
Ibanez Artist

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

here you go.

the Santana Se and the Tremonti SE (almost the same guitar) are the only PRS guitars that you'll be interested in, most likely. Everything else will be too expensive.

The Tremonti SE is kinda cool. Though it could be just because I like Creed, and I'm pretty sure that's who the guitar is named after. Always wondered what make his guitar was.

For PRS, I would have to order online. No store around here sells them.

yes. it's the creed guy.

as far as i know the two guitars are almost the same. the santana one has a double cutaway and the tremonti one has a single cutaway but a couple of more knobs. My guitar is awesome!! and silver!!!. and undestructible. i don't play good enough yet to take full advantage of all it can do but i keep trying.

how can you like the Tremonti and say Les Pauls are boring when they look the same?

As it says in the post of mine you quoted, it could be that I just like Mark Tremonti. Also, I've never liked the tone of them.

I'm going to put in a recommendation for a Dean. Hopefully Arjen will find his way in here and back me up.

Something like this

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Dean-ML-Phantom-XT-Electric-Guitar?sku=519815

Or

http://www.deanguitars.com/bnds_v1/dean_from_hell_cfh.htm

Or even this

Vacate is the word...Vengance has no place on me or her...Cannot find a comfort in this world.
