Ok, I'm in the market for a sunburst strat, preferably maple neck, but I take what I can get. Anyhow, after doing some ebay searching here's what I got. Let me know what you guys think about them, one includes a case and 5 packs of strings, the other is a reissue.
let me know what you guys think, both relatively the same price too.
Thanks Dudes!

Get the second one. It looks like a deluxe to me. 4-ply pick guard, chrome hardware and that beautiful "deluxe" tone. Ya cant go wrong.
If that is the one that comes w/ the case and strings, then dont even think about it. Just get it.

the second strat looks nice. but for that low price it is doubtful it would be a Deluxe (they go for close to 900 or better).
still, it is a nice guitar. I would say made in meixco.
the reissue is a nice guitar. not sure if they are american made or south of the border. someone had an issue with the neck radias . dont know much about the specs.
either guitar would be ok for the price.
since they are the same it could be a toss up.
you should check out the specs for the reissue 60's to see if that would work for you and go from there.
personally I am a sucker for sunbursts.
Gosh... both are about the same. All things being equal I'd go with the one with the case. It will be shipped in the case and more likely to arrive to you without damage.
The price point for a used standard Mexican Strat is about $275, with a case around $320. These both look mint, so you'll pay a slight premium.
$40 is a lot for shipping. Most guitars can be shipped for $25.
Speaking of selling guitars - I have a Schecter S/H C-1 on Ebay right now. Check it out. Peace.

don't like 60s' necks,
2nd one is a MiM ,not sure if they ever made a deluxe in mexico.

ditto. deluxe is not made in mexico for any price.
deluxe has an ash body if I remember. and the maple necks usually have some cool figuring.
MIA 90% sure.
I like the idea about getting the one with the case. cases are good.
They're both MIMs - it says so in the auctions.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.

That second one looks like a really good deal to me. The case is also what would sell it for me (those Fender Tweed cases aren't cheap).

well, the reissue is over, and I was in class. So, it looks like it's down to the other one with the case, I don't know if I'm going to go for it though, because I really want a maple neck.
Thanks Dudes!

Mike - hold out for the Maple neck. That is the beauty of eBay... miss something? Just wait and it'll come around again.
Maple on a strat is the way to go if you ask me.

unless it's a sunburst guitar with a tortoise pickguard, strats MUST have maple fretboards. they just look soooo much better.
but still, the rosewood fingerboard with the dark sunburst is pretty damn kickin too
Agreed, I'm waiting for the maple.

I'm not sure I'd buy a guitar via eBay.
