I heard it for guns way before I heard it for guitars.Same here. And I've seen it as Gear Acquisition Syndrome in a variety of hobby fields.

It's always funny when someone post on here that they got "GAS".

It came from the initials of Gregorius Antonius Septicus, when he came home with yet another lyre

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

"Gear Acquisition Syndrome, used by musicians (e.g. guitarists, keyboard/synthesizer players, drummers etc.) and amateur photographers amongst themselves to express their (somewhat compulsive) need for buying more gear"

That is what Wikipedia has to say about it. I never thought photographers used it also.

Vacate is the word...Vengance has no place on me or her...Cannot find a comfort in this world.
