Would buying a 50 watt Marshall MG50DFX amp have enough power to gig with? It's a solid state for the record and it would only be in smaller venues such as bars. Thanks.

It will probably be powerful enough to clear your neighborhood.
Thats GREAT, because I live in an apartment, great tool to annoy the neighbors.

I have the MG15DFX and it rarely goes above halfway. Granted, it's a practice amp, but it still gets darn loud. To be honest, it's probably loud enough to be used at some small cafe, open mic kinda thing. Your 50 watter would be enough to get in the mix well in a band setting. If not, mic it.

In most cases: sure will. if not a simple line-out to the PA will work with such an amp.
I know your talking about SS, but 15 watts tube get the job done for rehearsals, small to-medium gigs (And large gigs if mic'd), and power to burn... 8)

In small tomid size clubs that powerful an amp will make it difficult for you to control stage volume, unless of course, that's the point.

I just want to make sure it's loud enough, the choice is between that marshall or the vox valvetronix series, which should I go for guys?
Thanks Dudes!
