Does any one have any information on how these work exactly? I've decided to rewire my guitar like so http://www.guitarelectronics.com/product/WD2HH3T11_02/Guitar_Wiring_Diagram_2_Humbuckers3Way_Toggle_Switch1_Volume0Tone001.html
but the only thing I don't understand is how to wire the pickup selector. I have the dimarzio 3 way pickup selector but the diagram doesn't look like my selector at all (I have 4 different spots for potential solderings). Am I supposed to wire two of the lugs together or something?

I suppose you got one of these ON/ON/ON, 4 Pole Double Throw switches, like John Petrucci's?

Yes, that's the complex one, and I haven't worked with it yet, but can refer you to a site that is near-close.

These show only DP switches, so it's 'my bad' - but I would just disregard the extra pole set if you don't need it.

I am afraid that I can not say which ones to leave alone, I'm in over my head, but would recommend a continuity test.

Since there is no "one way" and you will decide, I hope that helps, if you haven't found your answer elsewhere. :?
