I have a Squier Strat by Fender and have been playing it for about eight years now.

I have a problem with my G string. I get a slight buzz from it when I fret a note.

For some reason I get this noise from the 1rst fret all the way up to the 11th. The 12th and on->no noise

A few months ago, I said, oh it must be the strings and I changed them when they were getting a little flat. But I still got that extra buzz. All the other strings are fine except the G.

Any ideas?
Many thanks.

make sure it's not one of the saddle height screws rattling (probably not). then since it's only the one string and all the way up the 'board, I would raise the G string saddle height slightly to see if it improves.
