I was having trouble getting the desired action on my Takamine 2000 limited edition acoustic guitar. While trying to adjust the tension in the neck , I over tighted the truss rod to the point of falure. The head of the truss rod broke off under torsion.

Does anybody know if this is fixable? Can a truss rod be replaced in an acoustic guitar.
This was a very nice pc...

Depending on where the break is, it may be able to be repaired without replacing the whole trussrod.
Take a look at this

If that won't work, then it is possible to replace the trussrod, but it would require an experienced repair person, and it's not a cheap fix. Usually the fretboard has to be separated from the neck.
