Hey there, I'm new to the forum so hopefully I'm posting in the right place. Anyways, I just recently bought an Epiphone Dot, and when I opened up the box I noticed two rather noticeable cracks on both sides of the neck, stemming from the nut. I am unsure of whether or not these are just cracks in the finish or the neck is actually cracked. When I apply pressure near the cracks, it doesn't seem to get any bigger or smaller. I just want to make sure whether or not these are paint cracks or actually cracks in the neck. Any help would be awesome!

That looks like more than just a finish crack to me. Even it is only cosmetic I think I would return it if that is possible.
