I have a fender strat and i would like to keep it polished and clean, i wipe it down with a dry cloth to remove dust and finger marks but within a few days it is dusty again.

Does anyone know a good quality guitar polish, preferably non-scented because i don't want my guitar smelling of camomile or something

Thanks

I use just a micro-fibre cloth - it doesn't need polish or anything else.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.

Polishing a guitar will have no effect on dust that settles on it. There is no polish that I know of that "repels" dust, regardless of what the advertising might say.

A polished surface and an unpolished surface in the same environment will have dust fall on it at the same rate. The polish and the dust are mutually exclusive.

A polished surface, might make dust removal easier as the particles will tend to slide off the surface easier.

This is not to say don't polish your guitar with a good product. Just don't look for certain effects or results that won't happen.

Just my two cents.

Make sure any polish you may use does not have silicone in it.

It is not good for wood.
