Ok so my family has had this guitar sitting in the back corner of the house for as long as i remember, and as i recently decided to start learning the guitar i thought i would fix this one and use it instead of buying a brand new one.
Now the deal is it has no brand visible on it.
It has a bigsby knock-off of tremolo bar,
the pickups were missing, so i bought 2 p-90 soapbar pickups.
so now my question is how to wire all of this.
the pickups have only two wires out the back.
It has one volume knob, one tone knob, and two switches.
However on the switches there are only two positions, on or off
yet on the back of each switch there are 6 tabs.
It would appear that this is a very simple rewiring, yet i havent found an example anywhere online
If anyone would happen to have schematics for how to wire this that would be great.

The switches with the 6 tabs will be DPDT (double pole double throw) switches. On each switch the 3 tabs on one side are independent from the 3 on the other side. The tab in the middle on one side is the one that is always connected and depending on the direction of the switch lever it gets connected to one of the outer tabs on the same side.

You could potentially do some more interesting wiring with those 2 switches. However, the easiest connection would be to connect the hot from each pickup to one of the outer tabs on one side of a switch (each pickup to a different switch). Then run a wire from each centre tab that is connected (one from each switch) to the volume control. This way you would be running each switch as a single pole double throw. At that point you would then be running the volume and tone as standard.

The Seymour Duncan wiring site doesn't seem to have any wiring diagrams for a setup like yours - lots of 5 way and 3 way Strat / Tele wiring and 3 way LP wiring all with various extra switches for phase and such. The closest thing there is a small discussion of the way that the DPDT switch works - http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=3ws_trans

You might want to look here for other wiring diagrams - [link removed]
