Hi everybody!
I had an ESP H-315FR for 4 years now. Recently, when I plugged into my amplifier a Mesa Boogie DC-5, no sound would come out. I immediately tought it was the amp but i realized that "shaking" the wire on the guitar end would fix it. After playing for about an hour, no sound, again. This time the signal I got was "half the signal" : the guitar doew not have the gain it should. I tought i had ried a jack wire by screwing around with the wire so I took the jack off and everything seemed fine. I changed the 9V battery, didn't work. Is there an easy fix someone might know? Or should I send it right away to a luthier?

Thanks forward!

If the wires to the input jack are intact, you're losing contact between your cord and the input.

When you open the jack you'll see a piece of metal with a C-shape bend in it near the tip - that's what makes contact with the end of your cord. Using your thumb, bend it a little (towards the center of the jack) and see if that works.
