les paul rewire problem

Ok i have finished re-wiring my les paul but it's not quite right, i'm pretty sure i know what the problem is but wanna double check

basically i've re-wired a new witch, jack socket and pickups,

when i plg it in all i get is noise....unless i touch where the jack meets the socket then at certain pressures i get a clear sound.

have i incorrectly earthed the jack socket? i know none of the pots have fried or anything as i get a nice clear sound under certain circumstances.
