Im going to be getting a new Guitar for my birthday here, pretty soon. And i want to put my own design on it.. just a flat black with my own little personal symbol on there but ive never done it before. Hell, im new to playing the guitar all together but i want to make it my own. I'm getting and Ibanez AEG10E BLK. I've heard they are hit or miss but ive seen it, i heard it being played and i just like the ibanez brand... but i want to paint it and I DONNNTTTT want to screw it up.

I would like to know step by step what i would need to do if anyone has the time, even down to what kind of paint to use.

I typed the words how to paint a guitar into google and all kinds of sites popped up.
most were for electric, but the process would be the same.
I would suggest not painting it flat black. that surface is impossible to keep clean. finger prints show up because of the oil on our skin.
otherwise, the process is not hard. just take it step by step.
here are two links:

http://www.paintyourown guitar.com

search goggle as I did. I only scrolled one page, but there were hundreds of hits.
