I am a n00b so beare with me.
My electric Fake Strat makes all kind of noise when moving the pickup switch... My question... how easy to fix? It is obviously a Short. Also when playing the Pickups cut out periodically.
The switch is probably dirty.
You can try some switch cleaner on the pickup switch. If that doesn't work, you can replace the switch.
A new one doesn't cost much and only takes a few minutes to change.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
