I am looking at a Washburn D10 that has bad electronics. How much would it cost to replace the preamp. or is it even possible???

It's certainly possible. The D10 was an acoustic guitar, no electronics, so it's an add-on. What kind of preamp's in there?
Might be a problem with the installation, too. Bad connection to the jack, that sort of thing.
Checked the battery?

Actually it is a D10SCE, but I have decided not to buy an unfunctioning guitar. Works just fine without the Preamp which is EQUIS (I know now are notorious for breaking) but don't want the initial problems with a new purchase.
