Has anyone tried this... It looks like what I need to do to get some more treble outta my guitar without coughin up the dough to get some new pickups.

If anyone has done this and has any input on best practices and where to get the new tone capacitor from, I would greatly apreciate it.

It's a nothing fancy what their talking about. It's a common practice for getting different tone characteristics. You can get capacitors at any electronics store or Radio shack. Like they suggested for more treble use a smaller one than you have. It's not hard to, take your time unsolder the old one and solder in the new one. You could get a bunch different sizes and experiment to find the one that works best for you.
