Tonight after playing for a bit I noticed that the nut on the output jack of my Strat (MIM if it matters) is loose. What is the best way to tighten it? I hand-tightened it for now, but I'm sure that won't last. Can I use a small crescent wrench, or is there a better (or special) tool?

Thanks in advance,
Jim-Bone

Use a Deep socket that fits it. Put a tiny drop of fingernail polish on it to keep it from coming loose. Don't tighten it to tight or your plug won't in if you do get it in it might not come out!!! Test it before you let the polish dry.

You can get clear nail polish too. Lock Tight blue works also.

Use a Deep socket that fits it.

That did the trick. And for anyone else that may need to do this, I found a 1/2" deep well socket fit it. I just hand tightened it.

Thanks again,
Jim-Bone
