worn fretboards

I starting to wear out my fretboards is their anything I can use to stop this from happening like a polish or something I don't want my guitar looking like SRV's number 1.

I use a soft cloth and bore oil. It's available at most music stores that sell non-guitars. Bore oil is used to clean out clarinets, flutes, etc. It also makes a great fretboard polish.

Lemon oil and a soft cloth. But not too much and not too often.
