I thought this BT sounded like an old version of Dave Mason's Feelin Alright I used to play years ago, so added some of that song and feel to it. See what you think.

You can call that one The Rooster Strut or Rooster Struttin'
Your guitar playing is amazing.
(Why is this board always doing chicken stuff?)
It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
"Not Feelin' Too Good Myself"
Excellent :!:
Definitely a Funkafied version of one of my favorite Dave Mason/Traffic tunes
Oh HELL yeah  Traffic was and still is one of my favorite bands in the day.You did that a great justice :D
Can you send me a link to that BT :D
Thanks for the input, folks. Here's the backing track, as requested.

nice guitar playing. Traffic is still my number one fav.
Yep. one of my classic favs too. Back in the day when bands full of super talent lined the road.
Really nice playing. Love the funk stuff. 8)
I'm normally not into funk that much, mostly because I don't like the staccato, brittle and thinny tone that somehow always ends up in the guitar part. So I'm pretty happy you went for a not-so-funk maybe but definitely kick-ass sound, and you're not afraid to make it sing out. The way you build up and have the guitar add to the backing instead of 'laying on top of it' is wild, how many decades have you been playing?
Glad you liked it. And you noticed I tried to get inside the BT. Often I find myself playing over top of it, and it sounds less authentic. So I tried to imagine the players were right there with me and I played around their various parts. Also recorded the lead at a lower level and EQ'd to get it out in front in the mix.
As to the decade question, would you believe four decades? I can scarcely believe it was 41 years ago I got my first guitar. Haven't set it down much since. Sooner or later I'll get it right.
