Ok, I'm too bad to really call it The House of the Rising Sun, but here's another experiement with recording. Having some clipping issues, and my usual timing issues...

A sucking chest wound is Nature's way of telling you to slow down.

Godin Freeway Classic, PodXT Live, Seymour-Duncan 84-50.
(All this so I could learn 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little' Star for my youngest.)

Tone sounds good. As for the clipping, just turn down the volume, or the input volume, say on the micraphone.

How are you recording?

USB direct from my pod xtl. Problem with it: too many darned buttons and knobs for a newb like me. :D

Oh. I don't really know much about the direcect USB things, sorry. Lowering the volume doesn't help? (On amp or on guitar)

I'm sure adjusting the levels would help. There's so much to learn; I haven't really delved into that part of it. My left hand is ok with most anything I throw at it. My right hand is ok, until it tries to use that stupid piece of plastic (a pick). Fingerpicking yes, picks no. :D Sooo... I've been working on a couple songs that are really forcing me to use a pick (Wanted Dead or Alive, and Still Loving You).

Yeah, that's a good way of going about it. You'll get used to it eventually. Start adjusting the levels, you'll get that to work too.
