I've always love the style of Jerry Reed. This is one of my favorites to play - just wish I could write em like this! Thanks for watching and any and all feedback is appreciated,
dale

Nice job. I noticed sometimes you play these solo etudes classical-style with the guitar on your left leg, this time it's on your right. How do you decide?

thanks for watching gentlemen and taking your time to comment - really appreciated!

dogbite - how are you sir! You don't want to do what I did! Let's just hope Mr. Reed never sees it either. Take care my friend.

Alien - i usually always play on my left, if i'm on the right it was a mistake! which is what I am best at - lots of practice!

peace,
dale

Nuno & Blueline - thanks gentlemen for your kind words and giving your time to watch. I really appreciate it.

On a sad note, i just read that Jerry Reed passed from this earth Sunday, 8/31/08. What a GREAT picker we lost - i will play his tunes as long as my fingers will let me!

peace,
dale

Dude, you may wish you could write like this, but I wish I could play like you. Love the tone and style. How are you micing that lovely acoustic?
Thought you did this having learned of his death. So timely. I recall getting very turned on to his playing when he regularly guested with Glen Campbell. Is anyone else that old?

i am that old! I love Glen C. as well. My perception was that 'in the day' Roy Clark got more press and attention but GC was the better player, just my 2 pennies.

I appreciate you watching and thanks for the kind feedback. I just record with the cameras intenal mic.... i am very lazy! From one JR fan to another, thanks!

I am old too. I remember when Glen Campbell began playing an Ovation on TV. that rounded back was so strange. he made it sound excellent. I did end up owning one because of him.
listening to Jerry Reed at work right now. man, he was crazy good. that claw and chicken scratch playing is classic.
there is a nice obit in todays New York Times.

Glen Campbell seemed to always play Ovations, even electrics and that electric 12 string on Southern Nights with a great Jerry Reed inspired intro lick. I met Glen Campbell once at a senior golf event and I just stood there looking at him, i'm sure he thought, 'loser', i just admired him so much, even with the hair! Like to have just watched him and Jerry play for fun, can you imagine.
