to me, that doesn't sound looser, it sounds stiffer? I'm not sure why. Its also not really that different that what I am playing, maybe its hard to here because of the stuff I recorded over it. The only thing I can see is that mine is much faster than yours, which is a problem.

thats it you nailed it

after you said that i played yours again and its like layla on crack

try playing with the cd, that always helps me get a could feel for the time,

and ease up on the ear piercing leads
maybe subtract some treble it can hurt your ears near the end

sounds good though your lead is so much better than mine, any tips

It must be getting early, clocks are running late....

Paint by number morning sky looks so phony....

Dawn is breaking everywhere light a candle, curse the glare....

Draw the curtains, I don't care 'cause it's all right....

Yeah, I'm in the slowww process of recording it again, slowwwwwwly.lol. Got bored with it, and took a break with Black Magic Woman/ working on Crossroads. So I'll come back to it eventually.

Tips for the lead.... I probably shouldn't be one to be giving tips on this... Maybe if I heard some lead playing from you I'd be able to suggest some stuff? Doubtful, but worth a shot.

Thanks for the reply Muchavo.

I don't think I can help you bud. Your lead playing is better than mine. You havn't heard the song in quite some time, and you did a really good job. Maybe someone else on the site can give you some pointers.

the intro you had on yours kicked major ass

Yeah, I didn't create the intro, thats Claptons, wish I could take credit for it. The tone thing is subjective, which was why I commented on your remarks in another thread here. Can tone really be better? It depends on what each person wants to hear.

Your tone hurt my ears. Literaly when you went to the high notes. It didnt suit the songs laid back vibe, but i guess it is in the eye of the beholder.

Yeah, I know the part your talking about, its towards the end. I actually like the sound of that, with the chorus pedal it sounds pretty to me. So yeah, I mean, it's really subjective.
