also get the live at montreax 1982 & 1985 double cd - great playing on both cds - the first concert is from when he's an unknown (he gets boo'd from the jazz purists!!) :( the good thing though is that david bowie heard him that day and got him to play geetar on 'lets dance' and also gave him free studio time to record his first album :)

^Yeah... that thing is awesome! My dad got the Montreax set and its sweet. SRV is exellent, and I think he kinda took a little bit of Hendrix and evolved it with blues. Still, Hendrix was(and still is) the best. Hendrix was SRV's idol too! :)

Hey Big Al, I have a question for you, what is your set-up, how do you get that beautiful clean Hendrix tone ? I think once you've got that, your halfway there.
