Going to google the lyrics now and sing along with you
 the Rox and Pearlz Da Catz
Oh I better not record my voice as it would ruin your playing
Nicely done
Trev..
Here is to you as good as you are
And here is to me as bad as I am
As good as you are and as bad as I am
I'm as good as you are as bad as I am
Pearl,
you really have got the strumming stuff sussed IMO. This is great. Yeah I was singing along too. What that means of course is that when other people are so comfortable with the music that they start singing along, you can be assured that your playing is totally credible, well done.
Paul
Sounds great, Pearl!
Brings back memories of when I was a kid and we played the 45 rpm of this incessantly. :D

When my mind is free, you know a melody can move me
And when I'm feelin' blue, the guitar's comin' through to soothe me ~
Sounds fine. Try recording it with just the guitar and no fx next time. Don't try to cover up your playing. It's fine. And hearing your mistakes is something that will help you improve.
I think you should sing along while you're playing. It helps to define the verses and choruses. If you wanted to redo the guitar and the vox on separate tracks you can do that after the fact. I noticed that you have the track panned hard right. Try panning it center.
I know that Audacity is a staple for a lot of people here and it should be. It's a great program but for stereo editing only. If you want to do any sort of multitracking with low latency, Kristal Audio Engine in conjunction with asio4all works best. There are just too many issues with Audacity and multiple tracks.
Now that brought back some memories. Ditto on the effects I know they are very tempting to use but the trick is to use them very sparingly.
Nice one, a Pearl even,
Gerry
Those who can't dance always blame the band.
